My focus on this blog is centered around the teachings of mindfulness and Buddhism and the principles that can help everyone live a more peaceful, compassionate, and loving life. You can see all of the workbooks that I’ve created on Buddhism at https://kucampus.academia.edu/KathleenBishop
Please feel free to download them and use them and share them with anyone that you feel would be interested in reading them, learning some basic principles of Buddhism, and practicing the principles in their lives.
Plus, I work as a corporate trainer teaching management and supervision courses along with support staff training. My classes are filled with fun and excitement and everyone goes away with loads of tools to take back with them to improve their productivity, team work, and talent on the job!
I hope what I write and post on my blog and website will demonstrate all of these parts of me and more. I hope that what I write will inspire you to be all that you have been and more of what you desire to be each and every day. I would love to have you check out our Southern Palm Zen Group website at this link and if you ever get to South Florida I hope you’ll come sit with us!

About my website:
Unlock the Door to Learning started sometime ago when I began sharing my thoughts, ideas, and techniques with audiences around the country and the world as a professional speaker, writer, trainer, consultant, mindfulness practitioner, Zen Buddhist, and finally a college professor.
The simple exercises and information presented in my website (www.unlockthedoortolearning.org) will help you and everyone you know use mindfulness techniques to unlock the door to learning and more!
It will help them:
- learn the subject matter quicker
- retain the information longer
- think more creatively
- stay focused longer
- reduce their test anxiety
- decrease their symptoms of depression
- minimize their outbursts of anger and frustration
- set and achieve goals
- graduate from school
- get promoted or hired for that job
If these are things you would like to see in yourself and others, regardless of your age or theirs, I hope you will browse the website.
